CASE STUDY

The academy was replacing an older modular classroom block with new accommodation. The modular contractor needed the existing block gone and the footprint cleared before their installation programme started, and all of it had to happen inside the school holidays so nothing overlapped with pupils on site.

An R&D asbestos survey came back clear before anything was touched. We soft stripped the block first, removing fixtures, services and internal finishes and segregating them at source. With the shell down to frame, the 14t excavator took the structure down in a controlled sequence, working away from the retained buildings with the exclusion zone held throughout. Foundations were broken out to the agreed scope and the site was cleared, graded and handed back level for the incoming works.

Waste left site on our own vehicles under carrier licence CBDU575260, split into metals, timber, inert and mixed streams with a transfer note for every load. The close-out pack included the RAMS, construction phase plan input, asbestos management plan, COSHH assessments, site records and a daily photo log.

Fixed window, delivered inside it. The modular installer started on time on a clean, level footprint. A client reference is available on request.
